I am thrilled that the Country Bear Musical Jamboree will be opening at Walt Disney World next week! The bears are getting ready to put on an exciting show featuring Disney songs reimagined in bluegrass, Americana, rockabilly styles, including hits like “Try Everything” and “A Whole New World” from “Zootopia” and “Aladdin.” Before the show starts on July 17, here's a special look at who's who from the cast.

Meet the Country Bears
Ursus H. Bear
Following a period of inspiring rest, Ursus H. Bear embarked on establishing a lasting venue celebrating America's musical legacy. In 1898, Ursus founded Grizzly Hall, where the former honey magnate, now an impresario, welcomed musical bears to deliver lively and enchanting shows, creating an entertaining and vibrant atmosphere known for its wild and fun-filled nature!

Henry
Years later, Henry, the grandson of Ursus, assumed control and currently fulfills the role of the chief organizer of bear-related events. He actively contributed to the creation of the present performance and collaborated on the opening song alongside the Five Bear Rugs.

Five Bear Rugs
When it comes to the Five Bear Rugs, there are Zeke, Zeb, Ted, Fred, and Tennessee Bear, all jamming with authentic country rhythm.
At the bottom right of the stage, you can spot Zeb's son, Oscar, clutching a Big Al plush toy.

Trixie
One of the most experienced performers among the Country Bears is the unique Trixie. Despite experimenting with various roles, she finally discovered her true talent for performing. Today, fans can see her entertaining alongside the trio of Bunny, Bubbles, and Beulah.

Bunny, Bubbles and Beulah
Formerly called The Sun Bonnets, these girls swapped their bonnets for Stetsons as they joined Trixie in performing globally, culminating in a sold-out show at Royal Ursa Hall.

Teddi Barra
The Jewel of the Dakotas, Teddi Barra, is not to be overshadowed by Trixie. Her show business career skyrocketed after she was found in an ice cream parlor.

Wendell
On the contrary, Wendell used to struggle as a basketball, baseball, and football player until Henry suggested he give singing a try. Since then, he has been a member of the Country Bears group. Wendell is excited to perform a love song with Teddi, which disappoints his former friend Henry.

Ernest the Dude
Ernest the Dude stands out as one of the most stylish bears visitors will encounter at Grizzly Hall, as he carries his extensive wardrobe with him wherever he travels. To be precise, he has 17 trunks packed with 30 coats, 40 pairs of slacks, 60 shirts, 20 hats, and one and a half pairs of underwear.

Terrence, aka Shaker
Aside from Ernest and Trixie, there are other actors in the bear band. Terrence, also known as Shaker, used to be a renowned theater star until a dramatic incident during a performance of “Romeo and Juliet” caused chaos – quite literally.
Since that memorable evening, he traded his stage attire for a guitar and developed a distinctive dance move that has become his trademark. Despite his unconventional looks and perpetual single status, Terrence is gearing up to kickstart his career in the film industry.

Romeo McGrowl
When it comes to embarking on a fresh journey, a certain bear is prepared to step into the next phase of performing rockabilly music. This bear is none other than the Miami Serenader, Romeo McGrowl.

Gomer
Our in-house pianist Gomer is not only skilled at playing the piano but also has knowledge about rebranding. He has received classical training since his early years, and his preferred piece of music used to be "Night on Bear Mountain" before transitioning to country and western music.

Big Al
Certainly, the Country Bears wouldn't be complete without Big Al. Music runs through his veins, and he has been strumming the guitar since childhood.
Prior to the establishment of Disney World, he held the title of resident bard and balladeer in the swamp. Following his 25th Farewell Tour across cities such as Paris (Texas), Hollywood (Florida), and London (Ohio), Big Al has rightfully earned the status of a legendary figure.

The Country Bears function as a united and joyful family, and we appreciate guests for their patience as they witness the practice of a new show. As we often mention at Grizzly Hall, we look forward to welcoming guests back when the Country Bear Musical Jamboree debuts on July 17 at Magic Kingdom!
