One of our favourite seasons to experience the enchantment of Walt Disney World Resorts is during the holidays. While Disney World is magical year-round, the addition of Christmas festivities elevates the magic even further. From the enchanting decorations to the delectable seasonal treats, Disney seamlessly combines it all. I've noticed that whenever we plan our trips, it always seems to fall in November or December. While it's not impossible for us to visit earlier, it's certainly a rarity.

Given our family's love for Christmas, it's only natural for us to seek out the parks and resorts during the holiday season when they're adorned in festive decor. Some resorts even boast impressive gingerbread displays that fill the air with delightful aromas. The towering trees at the parks and resorts, adorned with intricate decorations, never fail to captivate me. Each trip reveals something new and enchanting about them.
If you visit EPCOT in December, you're in for a treat with the Festival of the Holidays. It's one of my personal favorites because each pavilion's holiday booths offer foods reminiscent of their traditional recipes. Exploring these culinary delights is both fun and delicious, a perfect way to indulge in new flavors.

Then there's the Candlelight Processional, a moving experience where celebrities narrate the Christmas story accompanied by a choir and orchestra. To ensure a good seat, I recommend booking a dining package. Keep an eye out for announcements about who will be narrating during your visit; past narrators have included Brendan Fraser, Neil Patrick Harris, and John Stamos, among others. Unfortunately, our trip this year is a bit too early to enjoy these festive offerings at EPCOT, which is a bit disappointing.
During the holidays, several rides at Disney World receive special overlays, adding to the festive atmosphere. The Jungle Cruise transforms into the Jingle Cruise, a popular attraction with holiday-themed decorations and jokes. EPCOT's Living with the Land and Magic Kingdom's Space Mountain and Tomorrowland Speedway also get holiday overlays, offering guests a unique seasonal experience. Additionally, at Disney Springs, you can even meet Santa Claus himself, adding to the holiday cheer.
Attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a tradition we cherish. Not only do we appreciate the shorter lines for rides, but we also look forward to the spectacular entertainment offerings, such as Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks show and Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. The party also includes special character meet-and-greets, festive food and drinks, lively dance parties, and a stage show starring our beloved characters. It's a magical experience that adds an extra dose of holiday joy to our Disney World adventures.
One of the enchanting touches of the holiday season at Disney World is the magical snowfall on Main Street in Magic Kingdom, at Disney Springs, and on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood Studios. Though it's not real snow, but rather "snoap," it adds a whimsical and festive atmosphere to the parks and entertainment areas. After all, real snow would likely melt before we even had a chance to enjoy it in Florida!

I can't wait for our trip this year and the memories we will make.
