Get ready for tropical and culinary delights as Wailulu Bar & Grill is set to open soon. This new, laid-back poolside bar and grill will be located at the new Island Tower of Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, starting December 17.
Guests will enjoy stunning views along the shoreline of Seven Seas Lagoon, surrounded by Polynesian-inspired art created exclusively for this venue. Some artworks are even made from recycled materials and reclaimed fishing nets. For those dining at sunset, Wailulu Bar & Grill offers views of the fireworks from Magic Kingdom Park!
Whether savoring specialty coffee and quick morning pastries for breakfast or visiting for lunch or dinner, guests will embark on a culinary journey. The Wailulu Bar & Grill menu celebrates Polynesian flavors influenced by the Pacific Islands, from Easter Island and New Zealand to Fiji and Guam.
Cultural highlights include Sweet Potato Hummus with Breadfruit Tostones, Spiced Ham Musubi, and Chocolate Cake infused with Kona coffee. The beverage menu is expertly crafted, blending modern Polynesian Island flavors with classic ingredients like hibiscus flowers, sake, yuzu, pandan, oolong tea, coffee, and passionfruit. Notable drinks include cocktails like the Pandan Gin Gin Mule and Passionfruit and Pineapple Daiquiri, and non-alcoholic specialties like the Hibiscus Iced Tea and Yuzu Oolong Tea Lemonade.
The name also reflects these cultures! Wailulu is derived from the Hawaiian words “wai,” meaning water, and “lulu,” meaning calm.
